Their father, Toshiki, remembers his wife, Futaba, and all the love and pain. Her little sister, Yotsuha, finds herself getting a curiously closer look at the Miyamizu traditions. If you're a fan of the brilliant movie then this is well worth checking out. It's a more cohesive work, the story of the mayor is quite interesting and touching, and the ending has an almost Syamalan-esque way of tying things together.
Mitsuha Miyamizu may be experiencing a mysterious bond with an unfamiliar Tokyo boy, but she's not the only member of her shrine-keeping family with transcendent connections. I was underwhelmed by Volume 1 of Another Side:Earthbound, but found Volume 2 vastly superior. Another Side:Earthbound Manga book series by Arata Kanoh & Makoto Shinkai. It is is the manga adaption of the novel of the same name. Another Side:Earthbound was published on Februin Japan under Kadokawa, and on December 11, 2018, in English under Yen Press.
